All the water falling down from the sky makes Twin Lakes a wet site; through January this area sees the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Northern Cascade Range. Twin Lakes is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Commonwealth Campground is a glorious local campground; Margaret Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. High temperatures at Twin Lakes during the warm months
are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Twin Lakes overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Middle Fork Trail, and the snow is delightful at Alpental. So much cool stuff in the Northern Cascade Range, just mind-boggling. From Twin Lakes you get a nice vista of Mount Margaret, and if you came to camp Crystal Springs

Campground is a perfect place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Lake Yvonne.
This lake is so wonderful. The Cooper Pass Trail offers hiking at its best, and why not head up to Snoqualmie and strap some skis to your feet. Float down the rapids of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork in a kayak; there's glorious hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 25. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Twin Lakes has it all. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Box Canyon Creek; if you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a great choice.

This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....

Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

Stephens Pass

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...

Wish Poosh Campground

We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...

Honey Lake
18 miles away
The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck. ...

Tucquala Lake

This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....
