    Go to Twin Lakes if you want to go to a nice lake. Twin Lakes is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Rocky Point Campground is a nice location to camp nearby, and there's some flowing water close by, Carson Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay. Around Twin Lakes you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most snow, and October is the month with the least moisture. Hidden Beach Campground is a good  
   local campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by South Twin Lake.
So much fun stuff to do here at Twin Lakes, too tremendous to be true. Lakes are magnificent; Twin Lakes Reservoir is a lake that's near Twin Lakes; you can hit the beach if you want, Carson Beach is practically right here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sherman Creek, and
 
               Twin Lakes is right by the Daisy Trail.
For the duration of the days of summer at Twin Lakes temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Twin Lakes tend to be in the 10's. Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is a brilliant site right next door to Twin Lakes, and do take a hike on the White Mountain Trail.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
