A visit to Turtle Lake is always a good idea. Turtle Lake is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. Yeah, come up here to the Olympic Mountains for a perfect time. There are other spots here than Turtle Lake, for example Old Hatchery Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Lake Limerick Country Club is a good way to kill some time.
Turtle Lake gets lots of water; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is commonly the driest

| | month. During the summer at Turtle Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Turtle Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Skokomish River - South Fork; people from Shelton love to come here.
