So many exciting things in the Olympic Mountains, just incredible. If you need a location to stay Alderbrook Resort and Spa is a brilliant choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Pines Trailer and Recreational is a brilliant place to camp. Turtle Lake gets a large amount of water; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Turtle Lake highs are typically in the 70's. All
through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Turtle Lake sink into the 30's.
I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Turtle Lake. A charming lake like Goose Lake close to Turtle Lake is a great spot to visit; lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Johns Lake. While you're here at Turtle Lake

you can play some golf at Lake Limerick Country Club, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Skokomish River - South Fork. Turtle Lake is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. The cheerful people of Shelton like to hang out nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Shelton. And that's not everything you can do here in the Olympic Mountains. There's whitewater on Vance Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and We and U Mobile Home and RV Park is a brilliant local campground.

Mason Lake

I have been swimming at this lake since i was a baby girl!!!...This is mainly a private lake for people who have houses on it. There is a boat launch which is very small and to the point. :) There is also a park for employees of a certain company which I forget the name of now. This lake is very clean and refreshing. It is great for boats and inter tubing and swimming all the same :)  Love this Lake!!...THERE IS A PUBLIC AREA AT THIS PARK,BOATING SWIM AND PICNIC AREA...

Upper Elk Lake
14 miles away
It's been about 6yrs. since I was last at upper Elk Lake,It was my most favorite place to camp. If you were lucky, and got the only camp site on the lake, the lake was yours. The water was so crystal clear, you could almost see the bottom. The fishing was't bad either. There are plenty of trails and creeks to explore.Including Jefferson creek, which will lead you to lower Elk Lake. My children loved this spot as much as I. There was also a rope swing on the other side of the lake.It was heaven. My youngest daughter traveled back to the lake this summer (2008). She says the lake is destroyed, with water plants and logs, she says the water is no longer clear. This makes me sad, I may just have to plan a trip to see for myself....

Mildred Lakes
18 miles away
Wonderful lakes well worth the tough climb. All three lakes have excellent trout fishing....
