If you are in this part of Washington make sure to pay a visit to Tumwater Lake. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too brilliant to be true. Whitewater paddling is great on Miller River - East Fork; hiking along the Annette Lake Trail is splendid fun. It's always pleasant to pop by Florence Falls, and if you came for an overnight stay West Fork Campground is a brilliant place to camp. All year is a fine time in the Northern Cascade

| | Range if you adore the outdoors. Take a little tour to Great Falls Creek while you're here at Tumwater Lake, and the peak of Cascade Mountain can be seen from Tumwater Lake. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Tumwater Lake is right by the Pratt Lake Trail, and a lake nearby is Gouging Lake. Miller River - West Fo has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by, and Foss River Campground | |

is a nice local campground. High temperatures at Tumwater Lake all through the summertime are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's,
and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Tumwater Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Tumwater Lake, you could also pop by close by Francis Lake; you can hit the slopes at Alpental in close proximity. A brilliant
nearby hotel is Salish Lodge And Spa. This lake is so wonderful. Stephens Pass has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Middle Fork Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes
Tumwater Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month.

Stephens Pass
 | 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |
Alpental
 | Really good gets tons of snow but almost always wet has some very steep runs which are great and has some cliffs that are my size and some so i can learn... |
Bonnie Lake
 | Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?... |
Snoqualmie
 | 3 PHOTOS From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast! For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do! So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit. Just around the corner... ...A MILLION MILES AWAY!... |
Boulder Lake
 | 10 miles away Its one hard hike but when you get to the top you forget about everything its a breath taking site. Well worth the work out... |
Honey Lake
 | 11 miles away The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck.
