A great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Colville, and Trout Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Trout Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. Trout Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the snow is December; the driest of the months is October. At Trout Lake you can catch a glimpse of Hoodoo Mountain. Hiking along the White Mountain Trail is brilliant fun,       and paddling on Sherman Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a visit to Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area while you're here at Trout Lake; camping at Canyon Creek Campground is always a magnificent experience. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Trout Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's.
