more than a day at, Morse Creek Campground is a nice local campground, and Summit Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. For the duration of the summertime, highs typically are in the 70's at Tipsoo Lake with nighttime
lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Tipsoo Lake are in the 30's. So much exciting stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. There's so much to do here
at Tipsoo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dry Creek Campground is a splendid site for that, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Boundary Trail. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at White

Granite Lake
 | 12 miles away Granite Lake has crystal clear water, is surrounded by a very primtive campground. I don't recall how many campsites there are, but I have never been there when there was more than one other party. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, well worth the extremely rough road in. 4 wheel drive only. There is an abandoned copper mine in the area, and if you can find the trailhead, (good luck), the scenery is breathtaking. I've been to the mine 3 times. Watch out for bears! There is a ghost town below the copper mine. Very little is left. There are picnic tables, no water and no bathrooms. Come prepared.... |
