Parker Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. There's so much to do here at Tim Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Stagecoach RV Park is a splendid spot for that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Tim Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Windy Point Campground, and let's not forget Oak Creek which is a stream that you may run into during your stay. Best Western       Peppertree Yakima Inn is a delightful location to get some rest, and there are tremendous locations to explore along the Keenan Meadows Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Mud Lake close to Tim Ponds, it's a wonderful lake, and a pleasant place to have a look at nearby is French Canyon. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Tim Ponds. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Naches River, and a nice                  close by hotel is Comfort Suites Yakima. Tim Ponds gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow while July is generally the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Tieton River offers some great whitewater, and this is a popular spot for people from Ellensburg. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Tim Ponds. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's.
