This lake is so wonderful. Very picturesque scenery and fine skiing is what you get at White Pass, and don’t forget to take a look at Fish Flats if you're here at Tieton Pond. Tieton Pond mostly

gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Going for a hike on the Rattlesnake Trail is always a good adventure, and lakes are such calm sites, why not go to Lost Lake.
This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rattlesnake Creek - Naches Tributary; some nearby

water includes Hause Creek. And if that's not enough there's lots more fun things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. There are magnificent places to explore along the Little Wildcat Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Tieton River. Why not camp at Hause Creek Campground if you're here at Tieton Pond; you'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Long Lake.

Sand Ridge Trail
17 miles away
The hike started out on the dry sandy rocky trail and with a slight grade up. After the 0.75 of a mile and 300 foot gain or so there was a fork; shortly after the you're ?entering the wilderness? sign, trail 1147, or Little Buck Trail is to the right. We haven't been on it, but it is suppose to be about a 0.9 of a mile and end up at the Indian Creek Trailhead and campground. After that fork Sand Ridge Trail, 1104, goes up for about 1 mile, and the foot gain for that mile is about 900 feet. According to the maps and the GPS we were using, the trail begins at about 3400 feet and goes to about 4600 feet. The last mile is like a standard up and down hike until the Shellrock Lake Trail junction, trail 1142 to the left, after that we don't know. Overall, for about the first 2 miles there is a 1200 foot gain in elevation, and then it evens out for a while. However, we had to turn around when we thought we were almost to the Shellrock Lake Trail junction due to a couple feet of snow pack and melt off....

Granite Lake
19 miles away
Granite Lake has crystal clear water, is surrounded by a very primtive campground. I don't recall how many campsites there are, but I have never been there when there was more than one other party. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, well worth the extremely rough road in. 4 wheel drive only. There is an abandoned copper mine in the area, and if you can find the trailhead, (good luck), the scenery is breathtaking. I've been to the mine 3 times. Watch out for bears! There is a ghost town below the copper mine. Very little is left. There are picnic tables, no water and no bathrooms. Come prepared....
