    It's always fun to stop by Thunder Lakes. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Thunder Lakes. Go for a hike on the Gee Point Trail. All through the summertime months at Thunder Lakes temperatures are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Thunder Lakes nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. Thunder Lakes sees pretty high levels  
   of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest.
Survey Creek is in the vicinity of Thunder Lakes and is always a diversion to take a look at, and get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Jackman River. A good close by hotel is Eagles Nest Motel & RV Park, and camping is available at Clark's Skagit River Resort. Having a great time in the Northern Cascade Range is trouble-free. After a long
 
               day outdoors Cascade Mountain Lodge is a good site to spend a night or two; if you came for an overnight stay Wilderness Village is a perfect place to camp.
This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling close to Thunder Lakes is Baker River; going for a hike on the Finney Peak Trail is always a fine adventure. Thunder Lakes is located in the Northern Cascade Range.
