    If you are in Skagit county it's always a good idea to stop by Thunder Lakes. Thunder Lakes is a rather wet place commonly with a large amount of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. Clark's Skagit River Resort is a brilliant  
   local campground, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Finney Peak Trail.
Get soaked paddling on Jackman River; after a long day outdoors Snowwater Condos is a fine site to spend a night or two. Visit Survey Creek while you're here at Thunder Lakes, and going for a hike on the Gee Point Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Baker River, and Thunder Lakes is a nice place to visit for
 
               more than one day, Wilderness Village is a nice place to camp nearby.
All through the warm months here at Thunder Lakes, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Thunder Lakes during the winter commonly drop into the 30's. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Thunder Lakes, too perfect to be true.
