This place, Thunder Lake, it completely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. If you come at the right time of year, Tieton River - South Fork offers some pleasant whitewater, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Grey Rock Trail. Cash Prairie is a fine place, and Westfall Rocks is an out of the ordinary place to stop at while at Thunder Lake. For the duration of       the summer highs here at Thunder Lake get into the 60's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Thunder Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. There's always Tieton Dam to stop by near Thunder Lake, and don't forget to take a nice little spree to Kitten Creek. Near Thunder Lake you discover the Little Wildcat Trail which                  is a great hiking trail; Peninsula Campground is a splendid campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Crystal Mountain is fine, and if you get bored of Thunder Lake you could also stop by nearby Rimrock Lake. And that's not all you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Lightning Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and there are some good whitewater spots on Tieton River. Thunder Lake gets a large amount of water; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Rattlesnake Trail is always a pleasant adventure; if you came for an overnight stay Lonesome Cove Campground is a brilliant place to camp. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range.
