    If you are in Skagit county it's always a good idea to stop by Texas Pond. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too glorious to be true. Going for a hike on the Finney Peak Trail is always a good adventure; Texas Pond Dam has fine water scenery. Through the summer months at Texas Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the  
   40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Texas Pond.
Texas Pond is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. Dry warm beds await you at Totem Trail Motel; if you get bored of Texas Pond you could also take a look at close by Caskey Lake. Texas Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is July.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Sauk
 
               River for all you adrenaline junkies, and why not camp at Wilderness Village while you're here at Texas Pond. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Go for a hike on the Gee Point Trail, and Stagecoach Inn is a great place to get some rest. Man, is there a heap of amusing stuff to do close to Texas Pond. A magnificent spot to camp here at Texas Pond is Clark's Skagit River Resort, and get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Clear Creek.
