Tempo Lake is a lake worth visiting. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Tempo Lake is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Offut Lake Resort is a magnificent site to camp nearby, and not far from Tempo Lake you'll discover Sunwood Lake which is a gorgeous lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Tempo Lake has to offer, you can camp at Martin way Mobile Home Park, and get dripping wet paddling on Deschutes

| | River. The high level of precipitation makes Tempo Lake a rather wet spot; during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Offutt Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Nisqually River. Playing golf is lots of fun at Capitol City Golf Club, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LACEY is a glorious choice. | |

Summertime highs at Tempo Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's; overnight lows at Tempo
Lake during the winter ordinarily fall into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Tempo Lake is a place with many visitors from Olympia; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Ocean Shores, Wa. You don’t have to go far from Tempo Lake to see the water at Tempo Lake Dam.

Nisqually River
 | 16 miles away ...ars old (27 now). The thing you should know about the Nisqually is that it is like most rivers, every year there is something new and unexpected. There are a few notable obstacles and log jams that have stuck over the past ten years or so. One of them is between McKenna and the Nisqually railroad trestle. It has been there as long as I can remember. But the river isn't too fast there and you should have plenty of time to get outta the way. The other problems are further down the river, the log jams that are past the Nisqually pines aren't too bad. Most of them are so far up on the river bank that only a few trees hang into the river ( not to say that there are none of them.) But the problem is that you raft right under the cliffs on FT. Lewis. They seem to like to throw cars off the cliffs and watch them hit the water.. Or this is a good way to dispose of stolen cars.. Because the water just churns and turns these cars into a spiky nightmare for the rafters and tubers of the Nisqually. I have yet to see one person go over the cars and not instantly blow there raft apart.. Just keep a... |
