     There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. At Tatoosh Lakes you can catch a glimpse of Boundary Peak, and hey, Gotta ski right? Crystal Mountain is a splendid location to do that. The high level of precipitation makes Tatoosh Lakes a rather wet spot; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. The warmest time of the year at Tatoosh Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and  
   the overnight is slightly colder of course, typically in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Tatoosh Lakes tend to be in the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Packwood RV Park and Campground is a fine campground nearby; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Butter Creek. So many amusing things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Going for a hike on the Skyline
 
               Trail is always a delightful adventure, and while you're here, you could also check out pretty Snow Lake. Go for a hike on the Backbone Ridge Trail, and you'll locate a wonderful lake called Blue Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Cowlitz River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Very picturesque scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at White Pass; you can stay the night at River Bar Campground. Tatoosh Lakes is located in the Northern Cascade Range.
Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do close to Tatoosh Lakes. A tour to Tatoosh Lakes wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Bum Springs; close by you locate the Tatoosh Trail which is a nice hiking trail.

July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving....
