Do stop by Tarboo Lake while you're in this part of Washington. Take a hike on the Mount Zion Trail, and a magnificent spot to camp here at Tarboo Lake is Leland Lake Campground. The warmest time of the year at Tarboo Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Inn at Port Hadlock. All the outdoors exciting stuff close to Tarboo Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Peterson Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and camping is available at Discovery Bay Camp-peniel's.
These mountains rock, just look at all the fun stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. Do go to Browns Lake in the vicinity of Tarboo Lake, it's a gorgeous lake, and if you need a spot to stay Aladdin Motor Inns is a good choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Olympic Mountains.

Cattail Lake
 | 12 miles away Cattail Lake in within the Bangor Naval Submarine Base and has not been accessible (even to most navy personnel) since 911. I have not been to Cattail Lake in a long time. It is a small natural lake with no dam. I don't think there is public camping at the Erland Point Mobile Home Park or CRISTA Camps & Conference grounds. CRISTA Camps & Conference center is at the south end of Island Lake in Silverdale.... |
