The area for swimming wasnt much. However, I was there to get some lily pad roots for my pond. With the roots later hatched about 8 fish. They are over a year old but in a small pond with gold fish they did not grow more than an inch. I cannot identify the fish since they are about an inch long. However, they have a single long dorsal fin that ends close to the small tain fin. Does not show any stripes or trout colors. But grey in color. The pond drained to about 4 inches after I removed some. However, 2 remained in the mucky water which did not have any aireation. They are now in my indoor fish tank and get along well with the larger gold fish. What are they??

Went to Tanwax Saturday, June 14, 2008. Put in at 8am. Trolled the shores and the middle with wedding rings, worms and bobbers, and several other spinners. Fished 6 hours and caught 1 small bass on live worms, the wife caught to undersized trout on wedding ring and nightcrawler. I fished for bass in the weeds and around bushes and the docks and zippo. It was kind of cold...we could see our breath in the morning. Going to try Kapowsin Lake next weekend.

In Washington there are many beautiful lakes, Tanwax Lake is one of them. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do close to Tanwax Lake. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Puyallup (Tacoma Area), Wa is a tremendous choice, and a journey to Point Ohop is always a brilliant idea. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Tanwax Lake, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime

| | are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Tanwax Lake are in the 30's. Nisqually River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Tanwax Lake is not the only place nearby, Ohop Lake is a nearby lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Tanwax Lake and you like golf, you can pop by Tanwax Golf Course, and Tanwax Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Camp Lakeview is a good location to camp nearby. The yearly rain here | |

at Tanwax Lake is about average; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you don't mind getting covered with
water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mashel River, and Rainbow RV Resort is a good campground nearby.
Tanwax Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, obviously you could also have a look at Rapjohn Lake
if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. After a long day outdoors Best Western Park Plaza is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and a quick trip
to Twentyfive Mile Creek is absolutely a perfect idea.
