This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant nearby hotel is Stewart Lodge, and great hiking is available along the Kaner Flat Trail. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A delightful place like Hereford Meadow here at Taneum Lake is too pleasant to miss, and get wet paddling on Cle Elum River. Summertime highs at Taneum Lake usually tend to be in the 60's. Once the sun       is down it dips down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Taneum Lake. A great spot to camp here at Taneum Lake is Little Naches Campground, and there's great hiking along the North Fork Taneum Trail. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great globe it would be. The sight of lovely Mole Mountain near Taneum Lake is magnificent; don't leave Taneum                  Lake without first going for a hike along the Frost Mountain Lookout Trail. That right there is lots of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Glide down the rapids of American River in a kayak; there are plenty of people from Ellensburg here at Taneum Lake. Taneum Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. You could also go to Lily Pond Lake since you're here at Taneum Lake; it's close by, and if you've had enough of Taneum Lake, Shoestring Lake is nearby. Taneum Lake is a reasonably wet place typically with a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month is July.
