Good hiking is available along the Siouxon Trail, and you can stay the night at Beaver Bay Campground. Dry warm beds await you at Lone Fir Resort, and the sight of stunning Mount Mitchell is wonderful. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. A delightful place for whitewater paddling near Swift Reservoir is Siouxon Creek, and Swift Reservoir is a perfect place to       camp, Cougar Park is a perfect place. The high level of rainfall makes Swift Reservoir a quite wet spot; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to Swift Reservoir, you might not ever want to return home again. Swift Creek is a great local stream, and there's always Swift Dam to have a look at near Swift Reservoir. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more amusing stuff                  to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Swift Reservoir; Horseshoe Ridge Trail is a brilliant local trail. For the duration of the summertime here at Swift Reservoir, high temperatures usually get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Swift Reservoir temperatures sink to the 30's. If you need a spot to stay Columbia Gorge Riverside Lodge is a fine choice, and don't leave Swift Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Saint Helens Way.
