At Lake Sutherland all through the months of summer highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Sutherland are in the 30's. And that's not all the things to do here in the Olympic Mountains. You'll meet a lot of folks from Port Angeles here; get yourself into a kayak and hit Lyre       River. All the outdoors cool stuff in the neighborhood of Lake Sutherland will keep you coming back many times. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Lake Sutherland rocks! A magnificent site to camp here at Lake Sutherland is Indian Valley Motel and RV Park, and close by you find the Boulder Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Lake Sutherland mostly gets a lot                  of rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. If you get bored of Lake Sutherland, you could also stop at close by Three Horse Lake; after a long day outdoors Quality Inn Uptown is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. So much enjoyable stuff in the Olympic Mountains, just incredible. Falls Creek is a perfect local stream, and camping is available at Crescent Beach and RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail right next door to Lake Sutherland called the Happy Lake Ridge Trail, and float down the rapids of Elwha River in a kayak. If you're a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is Salt Creek RV Park Golf Course, and Happy Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Soleduck Trail is always a nice adventure, and Olympic National Park is a very tremendous place to check out. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
