Sure, Lake Simms is just a very short distance away. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. Stay the night at San Juan Campground, and Stephens Pass is a splendid local ski area. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. You are in close proximity to Conglomerate Point       since you're here at Sunset Lake; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Middle Fork Trail. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Sunset Lake has it all. For the period of the summertime here at Sunset Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Sunset Lake are in the 30's. And that's                  not all you can do here at Sunset Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sunset Lake has to offer, you can camp at West Fork Campground, and there are some great whitewater spots on Skykomish River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Lost Creek Ridge Trail is always a fine adventure, and Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a wonderful location to get some rest. You're perhaps interested in lakes, Fourth Of July Lake is one of those close by, and dry warm beds await you at Salish Lodge And Spa. All year is a tremendous time in the Northern Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. Here at Sunset Lake you can make out Burley Mountain, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Alpental. Sunset Lake is a pretty wet place frequently with a good deal of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture.
