If you like lakes and you're in this part of Washington you can check out Sunset Lake. Not much rain falls here at Sunset Lake; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. Delanty Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit; going for a hike on the Bear Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure. Yeah, come up here to the Olympic Mountains for a delightful time. Valley View Motel is a wonderful place to get some rest, and

| | the Deadfall Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Be careful coming to the Olympic Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sunset Lake has to offer, you can camp at Discovery Bay Camp-peniel's; get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Big Quilcene River. days at Sunset Lake highs are generally in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while Sunset Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter
are in the 30's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Olympic Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sunset Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Leland Lake Campground is a good
spot for that. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. City Lakes Dam has great water scenery and it's right next door to Sunset Lake, and nearby you find the Mount Zion Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Sunset Lake
is a site with many visitors from Oak Harbor; there's whitewater on Big Quilcene River for all you adrenaline junkies.
