    Summit Lake is a lake worth visiting. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Olympic Mountains is great!. All the water falling down from the sky makes Summit Lake a wet place; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year at Summit Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with  
   highs in the 40's while Summit Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.
This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Skokomish River - South Fork; this is a popular location for folks from Shelton. Don't leave Summit Lake without first paying a visit to Kennedy Falls; if you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - Shelton is a wonderful choice. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Why not camp at
 
               Mount Molly Campground if you're here at Summit Lake, and a fine place to camp here at Summit Lake is Bordeaux Campground.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Olympic Mountains. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Olympic Mountains. Get covered with water paddling on Cedar Creek; a wonderful place is Porter Pass. You can take a little visit to Summit Lake Dam since you're here at Summit Lake, and a magnificent close by hotel is Guesthouse Intl Tumwater.
