One of the overriding features of the surroundings of Summit Lake is Mount Constitution. Lakes are splendid; Day Lake is a lake that's close to Summit Lake. A day at Chin-Chin-Tse-Tung near Summit Lake is time well spent, and Summit Lake is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, West Beach Resort is a delightful site to camp nearby. Cold Creek flows through this region; if you need a spot to stay Raintree's Sandcastle at Birch Bay is a nice choice.

| | Golf can be played at Orcas Island Golf Course, and great water scenery is available at Mountain Lake Dam in the vicinity of Summit Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Summit Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Summit Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. the best things about Summit Lake is its proximity to Green Bank; dry warm beds await you at Resort At Birch Bay. An average amount of rainfall falls at Summit Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

I went Hiking on Mt Constitution and Kayaking and came home to killer organic gourmet food at the Doe Bay Cafe. The soaking tubs and sauna are brand new and look out over one of the prettiest bays in the world. They are clothing optional and peaceful. They have a huge organic garden that provides vegetables and greens for the cafe. I love the cabins but the yurts are still my favorite.
