    The beauty of Summit Chief Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Stephens Pass is a splendid place to do that. Summertime highs at Summit Chief Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Summit Chief Lake. There's good hiking along the Kachess Ridge Trail, and do check out  
   Lake Ivanhoe, it's a striking lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork; Summit Chief Lake is a glorious spot to camp, Foss River Campground is a glorious spot. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. Good hiking is available along the Cooper Pass Trail, and the view of pretty Summit Chief Mountain is good. Go for a hike on
 
               the Escondido Trail, and you can stay the night at Kachess Campground.
This spot, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Near Summit Chief Lake you find Dutch Miller Gap which is a great place to go to, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Box Canyon Creek. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Northern Cascade Range. A splendid close by hotel is Suncadia Resort, and picturesque scenery and great skiing is what you get at Snoqualmie. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range.
Summit Chief Lake is a rather wet place generally with a lot of rain; January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July.
