    Many people like to go to Sugarloaf Lake. At Sugarloaf Lake you don’t see much precipitation; during December this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. At Sugarloaf Lake you can make out Schalow Mountain, and swing by Gibson Creek it's a delightful site to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Loup Loup Ski Bowl since you're  
   here.
For the duration of the long summer days here at Sugarloaf Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Sugarloaf Lake. A delightful place to camp here at Sugarloaf Lake is Lazy Daze RV Park, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Coxit Creek Trail. Camping at Sugarloaf Campgrounds is always a
 
               fine experience, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn & Suites is a splendid place to spend a night or two.
These mountains rock, just check out all the cool stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Very fine water scenery is available at Fish Lake Dam near Sugarloaf Lake, and Schalow Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. You completely must love the Northern Cascade Range. The Sarsapkin Creek Trail is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Sugarloaf Lake; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Peppertree Omak Inn.
This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is perfect here at Sugarloaf Lake, you can go for a hike along the Funk Mountain Trail, and if you're here, you could also take a look at beautiful Fish Lake.

Funk Mountain Trail
My husband and I, along with my sister and her boyfriend all hiked Funk Mountain Trail in June this year (2009).  The trail mentioned here is mostly a cattle grazing area now, but you can hike up the old road to the Lookout, about 1.5 miles.  Once there, the view is truly great.  Be careful at the Lookout.  I don't know how safe it is so use plenty of caution.  The hike was fun; we met some friendly ATV'ers on the way up.  There was an abundance of butterflies, and hot, yellow sunshine streaming down. This is an excellent hike for beginners, or those with bad knees or new shoes. The vistas are very pleasant, and there are no crowds. 

The nearby town of Conconully is another high point for this trip. It's very small and has a contented, peaceful ambience. Conconully Lake doesn't have a great swim beach, but it's enjoyable for a canoe or kayak paddle on a warm day. ...
