| | This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 25; get covered with water paddling on Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork. Hiking along the Cooper Pass Trail is wonderful fun; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Box Canyon Creek. You simply have to like the Northern Cascade Range. The snow is brilliant at Alpental; if you came for an overnight stay Kachess Campground is a nice place to camp. Having a wonderful time at Stonesthrow Lake | |

is trouble-free. Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a pleasant place to get some rest, and there are other spots here than Stonesthrow Lake, for example Rock Rabbit Lakes. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things
to do in the Northern Cascade Range. The peak of Mount Margaret can be observed from Stonesthrow Lake, and why not head up to Snoqualmie and strap some skis to your feet. Stonesthrow Lake is a wet location that gets a lot of precipitation;
of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. Lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Swan Lake near Stonesthrow Lake, and camping is available at Crystal Springs Campground.

Pacific Crest Trail - section 25
Roundtrip Distance 17.4 miles Elevation Gain 2,574 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....
Snoqualmie
3 PHOTOS From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast! For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do! So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit. Just around the corner... ...A MILLION MILES AWAY!...
Alpental
Really good gets tons of snow but almost always wet has some very steep runs which are great and has some cliffs that are my size and some so i can learn...
Bonnie Lake
Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

Stephens Pass
15 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...
Davis Peak Lookout Trail
16 miles away I hated hiking it but the things I saw were amazing!!!!!...
Wish Poosh Campground
17 miles away We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...
Fish Lake Campground
18 miles away Watch for grizzly. Esp. early spring and fall....
Tucquala Lake
19 miles away 1 PHOTO This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....
Honey Lake
| 19 miles away The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck.
