Here at Stitch Lake you'll probably meet some people from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, needless to say you could also stop at Blackmans Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Stitch Lake is great! Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn DOWNTOWN-EVERETT; a lake nearby is Lake Stevens. All the water falling down from the sky makes Stitch Lake a wet site; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest

| | of the months is July. All through the warm months at Stitch Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Stitch Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Stitch Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Connor Park, and you can run the rapids of Canyon Creek South Fork Stillaguamish Tributary. | |

If you need a site to stay Best Western Cascadia Inn is a delightful choice, and you can stay the night at Snohomish RV and Mobile Home Park. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Snohomish Public Golf Club, and there's whitewater on Stillaguamish River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people.

 | 15 miles away WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot.... |
