Do stop by Steilacoom Lake while you're in this part of Washington. Steilacoom Lake in fact is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. If you need a site to stay Fort Clarke Motel is a good choice; Steilacom Lake Dam is a gorgeous place. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps don’t sound that great but Crawford Marsh next to Steilacoom Lake is quite great; a round of golf at nearby FT Steilacoom Golf Course is a glorious way to kill some time. Dry warm beds await

Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Nisqually River, unsurprisingly you could also visit Boyles Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Steilacoom Lake is a rather wet place generally with a large amount of rainfall; December is the wettest month with most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Through the months of summer at Steilacoom Lake highs are generally in the 70's. | |

Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Steilacoom Lake descend into the 30's.
Oaknoll RV Park is a nice
campground here; folks from Bremerton-Silverdale love to come here. Take a little spree to Clover Creek while you're here at Steilacoom Lake, and Steilacoom Lake is a great place to camp, Rainier Villa Mobile Park and RV is a great place.
