Camping at Lilliwaup Creek Campground is always a great experience, and if you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Lake Cushman Golf Course. Lake Standstill generally gets lots of rainfall; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Standstill is great enough to spend more       than a day at, Lake Cushman Resort is a great local campground; lots of folks from Shelton come here. Lake Standstill is located in the Olympic Mountains. Through the summertime at Lake Standstill temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Standstill are in the 30's. If you want a magnificent time in                  the great outdoors just come on up to the Olympic Mountains. Take a look at close by Deer Meadow; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Shelton. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Lake May, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Skokomish River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Deer Meadow Creek in the vicinity of Lake Standstill is a great idea; after a long day outdoors Alderbrook Resort and Spa is a great place to spend a night or two. Take a hike on the Mount Jupiter Trail; get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Hamma Hamma River.
