The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Pitman Lake is one of those close by; don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to Spurgeon Creek. Springer Lake is a wet location that gets much rain; December is when you get the most rain here; July on the other hand is the driest. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Tumwater is a great location to spend a night       or two; why not camp at Offut Lake Resort if you're here at Springer Lake. So many cool things to do in the Olympic Mountains, not enough time. A wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Tumwater Inn, and a round of golf at nearby Tumwater Valley Municipal Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Springer Lake reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with                  winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Springer Lake. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Deschutes River. This lake is so wonderful.
