Mount Daniel can be distinguished from Spade Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Spade Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hour Creek Campground. Spade Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range.
This lake is so wonderful. Spade Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Tucquala Meadow Campground is a great spot to camp nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Lake Michael Trail. Spade Lake is a quite wet place generally with a good deal of rainfall; most of the snow falls during January, and the driest month of the year is July. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Stephens Pass, and if you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a delightful choice.
Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Spade Lake. A great close by hotel is Suncadia Resort, and great hiking is available along the Red Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. No need to travel far to stop by attention-grabbing stuff like Lynch Glacier, and getting to Chief Creek from Spade Lake is painless.

Bonnie Lake
Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

Fish Lake Campground
Watch for grizzly. Esp. early spring and fall....

Tucquala Lake

This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...

Wish Poosh Campground
14 miles away
We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...

Pacific Crest Trail - section 25
14 miles away
Roundtrip Distance 17.4 miles
Elevation Gain 2,574 ft.
This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....

With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast!
For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do!
So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit.
