What a nice lake Southwick Lake is. This lake is so wonderful. Chambers Lake is a wonderful lake near Southwick Lake, and after a long day outdoors Olympia/Lacey Super 8 Motel is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. The high level of rain makes Southwick Lake a reasonably wet place; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is July. There are some great whitewater spots on Deschutes River.

There are other spots here than Southwick Lake, for example Hicks Lake, and camping at Martin way Mobile Home Park is always a magnificent experience. For the period of the days of summer at Southwick Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Capitol City Golf Club; lots of people from Olympia come here.
There's whitewater on Nisqually River for all you adrenaline junkies, and a wonderful
site to camp here at Southwick Lake is Offut Lake Resort. Don’t forget to check out Chambers Prairie if you're here at Southwick Lake, and Comfort Inn Lacey is a delightful location to get some rest.
