Goose Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. There's so much to do here at Southwick Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Martin way Mobile Home Park is a fine place for that. Southwick Lake mostly gets a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is when it's the driest. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Southwick Lake. Hicks Lake, and Southwick Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Offut Lake Resort is a great local campground.
Summertime highs at Southwick Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures
fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Southwick Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.

... rafted the Nisqually river since I was about 13 years old (27 now). The thing you should know about the Nisqually is that it is like most rivers, every year there is something new and unexpected. There are a few notable obstacles and log jams that have stuck over the past ten years or so. One of them is between McKenna and the Nisqually railroad trestle. It has been there as long as I can remember. But the river isn't too fast there and you should have plenty of time to get outta the way. The other problems are further down the river, the log jams that are past the Nisqually pines aren't too bad. Most of them are so far up on the river bank that only a few trees hang into the river ( not to say that there are none of them.) But the problem is that you raft right under the cliffs on FT. Lewis. They seem to like to throw cars off the cliffs and watch them hit the water.. Or this is a good way to dispose of stolen cars.. Because the water just churns and turns these cars into a spiky nightmare for the rafters and tubers of the Nisqually. I have yet to see one person go over the cars an... |

This is a fun spot that people go skim boarding and there are trails to walk on and also a little swimming hole to jump in but if you are looking for a swimming spot this wouldn't be the one for you, but you should still check it out for yourself!!... |

I have been swimming at this lake since i was a baby girl!!!...This is mainly a private lake for people who have houses on it. There is a boat launch which is very small and to the point. :) There is also a park for employees of a certain company which I forget the name of now. This lake is very clean and refreshing. It is great for boats and inter tubing and swimming all the same :) Love this Lake!!...THERE IS A PUBLIC AREA AT THIS PARK,BOATING SWIM AND PICNIC AREA... |
