Solmar Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Gray Wolf River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by; Dungeness County Park is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Dungeness River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Solmar Lake; Baldy Trail is a great local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Olympic Mountains.

| | get the most rain here; July is the month with the least moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Olympic Mountains. Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge has glorious slopes and a friendly staff; why not take a refreshing hike along the Royal Creek Trail. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Solmar Lake is great! A great close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites, and the Clink Trail offers hiking at its best.

some magnificent water scenery at Solmar Lake Dam; why not a little side spree to McDonald Creek. All year is a wonderful time in the Olympic Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge
Sequim is a glorious site to spend a night or two; if time allows, Olympic National Park is a national park worth stopping at.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Sunshine RV Park is a fine place to camp,
and enjoy a round of golf at Dungeness Golf Course. At Solmar Lake throughout the long summer days highs are in the 60's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Solmar Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.
