     All the water falling down from the sky makes Solberg Lake a wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is commonly the driest month. A journey to Crystal Spring will fill your spirit with nice feelings; why not camp at Nisqually Plaza RV Park if you're here at Solberg Lake. So many amusing things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. The summit of Hammersmith Hill can be observed from Solberg Lake, and probably  
   you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Goodwin Lake is just a very short distance away.
Solberg Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range. Martin way Mobile Home Park is a tremendous local campground, and a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Nisqually River.
Having a delightful time at Solberg Lake is simple. A perfect close by hotel is La Quinta Inn AND Suites Lakewood, and if you're a golfer then a good close by course is Nisqually Valley
 
               Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Deschutes River is a nice whitewater spot near Solberg Lake, and if you're here at Solberg Lake it's a pleasant idea to have a look at Yelm Prairie. This location, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors fun things. You could also have a look at McKenzie Lake since you're here at Solberg Lake; it's nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Thornewood Castle Inn And Gardens is a nice choice.
Summertime at Solberg Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Solberg Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular spot for folks from Olympia, and why not take a little journey to Yelm Creek since you're here.

... (27 now). The thing you should know about the Nisqually is that it is like most rivers, every year there is something new and unexpected. There are a few notable obstacles and log jams that have stuck over the past ten years or so. One of them is between McKenna and the Nisqually railroad trestle. It has been there as long as I can remember. But the river isn't too fast there and you should have plenty of time to get outta the way. The other problems are further down the river, the log jams that are past the Nisqually pines aren't too bad. Most of them are so far up on the river bank that only a few trees hang into the river ( not to say that there are none of them.) But the problem is that you raft right under the cliffs on FT. Lewis. They seem to like to throw cars off the cliffs and watch them hit the water.. Or this is a good way to dispose of stolen cars.. Because the water just churns and turns these cars into a spiky nightmare for the rafters and tubers of the Nisqually. I have yet to see one person go over the cars and not instantly blow there raft apart.. Just keep a good e...

Bass seem to like pumkin color worms and grubs. Got most of them a foot from bank in 2 foot water deep in the lily pads....I have found that the trout in Rapjohn  go for the chartruese power bait....
