This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Port Angeles come to Sol Duc Lake, and the skiing at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge is good. Sol Duc Lake gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most while July is regularly the driest month. Have a great hiking adventure along the Hoh River Trail; Bogachiel Peak can be seen from Sol Duc Lake. Sol Duc Lake is       right by the Soleduck Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Soleduck River. You completely have to adore the Olympic Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Lunch Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lyre River. Man, is there a lot of entertaining things to do in the Olympic Mountains. This is a glorious area for people who like lakes. Clear Lake is a lake                  in the vicinity, and Olympic National Park is a good national park. Do set aside some time for Seven Lakes Basin while you're here at Sol Duc Lake, and Sol Duc Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Soleduck Campground is a great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a good place to get some rest, and needless to say Seven Lakes Creek flows through this vicinity. And that's not all you can do here at Sol Duc Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Lake Quinault Lodge. The warmest time of the year at Sol Duc Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Sol Duc Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. Sol Duc Lake is one of the lakes here in the Olympic Mountains. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in close proximity to Sol Duc Lake has to offer. Take a hike on the Deer Lake Trail.
