Snyder Lake ordinarily gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's whitewater on Cowlitz River for all you adrenaline kick people; close by you locate the South Point Trail which is a great hiking trail. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Snyder Lake temperatures drop to the 20's.
