| | is an attention-grabbing location to pop by while at Snow Lake. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too tremendous to be true. Gotta ski! Crystal Mountain is a good site to do that; on a gorgeous day you get a splendid view of Boundary Peak from Snow Lake. For the duration of the summertime months at Snow Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. All through the winter | |

the highs are mostly in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Snow Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. All year is a magnificent time in the Northern Cascade Range if you fancy the outdoors. There's great hiking along
the Tatoosh Trail; camping at Packwood RV Park and Campground is always a glorious experience. Butter Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by; if you came to camp Cougar Rock Campground is a tremendous site to do
that. Fairy Falls is an inspiring spot to check out while you're here, and Mount Rainier National Park is a very delightful place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Sunbeam Creek
is a stream you can stop by while here; a lake nearby is Louise Lake. Snow Lake is a pretty wet place commonly with a lot of rainfall; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with
the least moisture. This place is great, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Snow Lake. What would winter be without some skiing at White Pass.

Lake Christine
 | 16 miles away July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving.... |
Pacific Crest Trail - section 24
 | 17 miles away Roundtrip Distance 13.4 miles Elevation Gain 2,598 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map.... |
