After a long day outdoors Resort At Birch Bay is a pleasant location to spend a night or two; Smrekar Reservoir Dam is a pretty location, definitely worth stopping at. At Smrekar Reservoir you can catch a glimpse of Holman Hill, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Bellingham here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Raintree's Sandcastle at Birch Bay is a tremendous       choice. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Smrekar Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Plaza Park. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Smrekar Reservoir reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Smrekar Reservoir tend to be in the 30's. Smrekar Reservoir is a good place of normal precipitation; of all the months                  in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Fingalson Creek flows through this region, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Lake Terrell. Skiing at Mt.Baker is one of those things you just should do. There's so much to do here at Smrekar Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Lighthouse by the Bay RV Park is a good spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Smrekar Reservoir has it all.
