High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's; night lows at Smelling Lake through the winter frequently drop into the 30's. And that's not all the things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. A lake nearby is Chitwood Lake. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Smelling Lake is great! Get covered       with water paddling on Stillaguamish River - South Fork, and hiking along the Gee Point Trail is splendid fun. All the water falling down from the sky makes Smelling Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest month is July. So many fun things in the Northern Cascade Range, just amazing. After a long day outdoors Best Western Sky Valley Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; if you're looking for some flowing                  water? Try Worthy Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Finney Peak Trail, and why not camp at Verlot Campground since you're here at Smelling Lake. Dry warm beds await you at GuestHouse Inn & Suites M; get yourself into a kayak and hit Pilchuck River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range.
