Skating Lake is a lake worth visiting. At Skating Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 60's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while Skating Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's. A pretty lake like Pauls Lake near Skating Lake is a tremendous location to go to; if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn & Suites is a splendid choice. Don't forget to pop by North Beach

All sites are grass, tables at each site, full hook-up with cable and Wi-Fi available. We are 2. 5 blocks from the beach and 14 blocks from downtown. We have showers, laundry, and a meeting hall available to groups. Our Park is perpendicular to the highway so most sites are well away from the road. There are hiking and bicycling trails, a national wildlife refuge, two beautiful light houses and much history dating back to Lewis and Clark's discovery in 1805.
