Playing golf is lots of fun at Surfside Golf Course, and dry warm beds await you at Coastal Cottages. The high level of rain makes Skating Lake a quite wet place; most of the rain falls during December, and the driest month is July. Do schedule some time to check out North Beach Peninsula right next door to Skating Lake if you have a chance. You'll beyond doubt wish       for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Olympic Mountains. Stay the night at Ocean Aire Trailer Park; Harbor View Motel Rv is a good place to get some rest. Clam Tide RV Park is a splendid campground here, and swing by Espy Slough it's a great spot to take a look at. During the warmest time of the year here at Skating Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 60's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through                  the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Skating Lake.
