Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Olympic Mountains is excellent! The Black Hills towers over Simmons Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Grass Lake. The high level of precipitation makes Simmons Lake a rather wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount       of precipitation. Be careful coming to Simmons Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. There's so much to do here at Simmons Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Coach Post Mobile Home Park is a delightful place for that. Lakes are tremendous; Grass Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Simmons Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Black Hills is easily observed from Simmons Lake; a round of golf at nearby Tumwater Valley                  Municipal Golf Course is a tremendous way to kill some time. Summertime at Simmons Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Simmons Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Olympic Mountains has to offer. Red Lion Hotel Olympia is a good place to get some rest; whitewater paddling is glorious on Cedar Creek. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Tumwater is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Simmons Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Salmon Shores Resort is a good local campground, and Grass Lake Dam is scenic.
