    A visit to Silver Lake is always a good idea. Silver Lake gets a normal amount of rain; December is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Through the summertime at Silver Lake highs are typically in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 40's; night lows throughout the wintertime for Silver Lake tend to be in the 30's. This  
   lake is so wonderful. Nearby Ohop Valley is a good spot to go if you're at Silver Lake, and as expected Ohop Creek is a pretty stream that is worth checking out.
Camping is available at Rainbow RV Resort, and there's whitewater on Nisqually River for all you thrill seekers. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This place, Silver Lake, it truly has so much outdoors fun stuff. A tremendous site to camp here at Silver Lake is Alder Lake Park,
 
               and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Puyallup (Tacoma Area), Wa is a great place to get some rest.
Lakes? Sure, Rapjohn Lake is close by, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Park Plaza. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too great to be true. Near Silver Lake you hit upon a golf course called Tanwax Golf Course. Man, is there loads of amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Cranberry Lake, and you can run the rapids of Mashel River.

Bass seem to like pumkin color worms and grubs. Got most of them a foot from bank in 2 foot water deep in the lily pads....I have found that the trout in Rapjohn  go for the chartruese power bait....

nice little bit of info on the area , but Silver Cloud Inn ad in Bellevue is 90 miles away , not 9 miles....

Tanwax Lake
The area for swimming wasnt much. However, I was there to get some lily pad roots for my pond. With the roots later hatched about 8 fish. They are over a year old but in a small pond with gold fish they did not grow more than an inch. I cannot identify the fish since they are about an inch long. However, they have a single long dorsal fin that ends close to the small tain fin. Does not show any stripes or trout colors. But grey in color. The pond drained to about 4 inches after I removed some. However, 2 remained in the mucky water which did not have any aireation. They are now in my indoor fish tank and get along well with the larger gold fish. What are they??...
