Silver Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sequm Bay Lodge, and a forest nearby is Quilcene Ranger District. Silver Lake is frequently a rather dehydrated place; most of the rain falls through December; July is when it's the driest. At Silver Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 60's. | | 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Silver Lake.

All the outdoors fun things in the Olympic Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. From Silver Lake you acquire a good vista of Mount Townsend, and going for a hike along the Tubal Cain Mine Trail will let you absorb
the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Dosewallips River, and a fine place to camp here at Silver Lake is River Campground. Get covered with water paddling on Dungeness River, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Mount Zion Trail.
