Go to Silent Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Olympic Mountains has to offer. There's great hiking along the Mount Zion Trail, and you must go to Toandos Peninsula when you're here. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Olympic Mountains is excellent! Don't leave Silent Lake without first going for a hike along the Deadfall Trail, and during your visit here you'll meet some people

Lake a reasonably wet location; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Silent Lake; Mount Jupiter Trail
is a good local trail; Big Quilcene River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby. At Silent Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs during the winter
are regularly in the 40's with temperatures at Silent Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights.
