South Creek Campground is a great local campground; if the weather is lovely, you obtain a delightful vista of Abernathy Peak from Shelokum Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous location for whitewater paddling close to Shelokum Lake is Methow River, and the Driveway Butte Trail offers hiking at its best. The yearly rain here at Shelokum Lake is about average; December is the       wettest month with most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. You'll hit upon a stunning lake called Lamont Lake near Shelokum Lake, and do take a hike on the Monument Creek Trail. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors exciting things. Adventure Inn is a nice site to get some rest. Shelokum Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. So much entertaining stuff to do at Shelokum Lake, so little time. Why not camp                  at Klipchuck Campground since you're here at Shelokum Lake, and if you're here, you could also take a look at wonderful Abernathy Lake.
