There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Bumping River, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Sheepherder Lake you can take a hike along the Crow Lake Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Crystal Mountain Hotels. The high level of precipitation makes Sheepherder Lake a reasonably wet place; during the month of January you get the most       rain around here; July is when it's the driest. And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. The Cougar Valley Trail is a perfect hiking trail next to Sheepherder Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit American River. This lake is so wonderful. Sheepherder Lake is a glorious site to camp, Pleasant Valley Campground is a glorious site, and delightful skiing awaits you at Crystal Mountain. Sheepherder Lake is located in the                  Northern Cascade Range. So much fun stuff to do here at Sheepherder Lake, too great to be true. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sheepherder Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lodgepole Campground, and Crescent Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby White Pass, and nearby you locate the American Ridge Trail which is a great hiking trail.
