Sheep Lakes is always a pleasure to visit. During the warm days of summer at Sheep Lakes highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Sheep Lakes during the wintertime mostly drop into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Sheep Lakes, you could also explore striking Forlorn Lakes, and Skamania Lodge is a great place to get

| | some rest. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Wind River, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the East Crater Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Sheep Lakes. If you came to camp Cultus Creek Campground is a fine place to do that, and Carson Mineral Hot Springs-Carson WA Golf Course is a great golf course close by. Cascade Range, not enough time. After a long day outdoors Best Western Columbia River Inn is a great location to spend a night or two; Sheep Lakes is a spot with many visitors from Hood River. The Ridge Trail is a glorious hiking
trail right next door to Sheep Lakes. There's so much to do here at Sheep Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Forlorn Lakes Campground is a great location for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting soaked,
you can always go whitewater paddling on Panther Creek, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Cedar Creek Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. Acker Lake is a nearby
lake that you could stop at, and at Sheep Lakes you can catch a sight of Red Mountain. Sheep Lakes gets a lot of water; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
