Willow Springs Motel near EWU is a tremendous location to get some rest, and obviously Snyder Slough flows through this area. Sheep Lake gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the snow is December; August on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the summer at Sheep Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. | | the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Sheep Lake fall into the 10's. A lake close by is Pine Tree Lake, and camping is available at Four Seasons Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Crooked Knee Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at; camping at Last Roundup Motel and RV Park is always a pleasant experience. | |

It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful.... |
