hiking at its best, and Dry Creek Campground is a delightful campground nearby.

There's magnificent hiking along the Skyline Trail, and there are other places here than Shadow Lake, for example Frozen Lake. A splendid site like Berkeley Park here at Shadow Lake is too great to miss, and the panorama of Antler Peak is delightful. This lake is so wonderful. Crystal Mountain

This lake is so wonderful. White Pass is a very popular ski area close by; if you come at the right time of year, White River offers some good whitewater. That right there is a load of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Inter Fork is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and if you came for an overnight stay White River Campground is a splendid location to camp. Don't leave Shadow Lake without first going for a hike along the Northern Loop Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Chinook Creek.
