Scotchman Lake is commonly a rather arid place; the month with most of the snow is December while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the warm days of summer at Scotchman Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through       the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Scotchman Lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a beautiful day you get a vista of Coyote Hill from Scotchman Lake; Outpost Resort is a good local campground. Having a splendid time at Scotchman Lake is simple. What would winter be without some skiing at 49 Degrees North. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Serendipity Golf Club; a lake close by                  is Little Anderson Lake.
