Schaefer Lake gets a lot of water; the month with most of the rain is November, and July on the other hand is the driest. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in close proximity to Schaefer Lake. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Duncan Hill Trail. Summertime highs at Schaefer Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during       the winter are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Schaefer Lake. Going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 26 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and D Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. A lake close by is Twin Lakes, and Best Western Icicle Inn is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Nason River; you can stay the night at Atkinson Flat Campground.                  If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range.
